Description: Rare HEAVY Seguso Bullicante Bubble Murano Glass Shell Bowl Vase, Italy, 1970s midcentury modern panton eames era Seguso: Seguso is among the oldest glass-making dynasties on the island of Murano, whose family tradition dates back 23 generations since 1397. Today the heritage of Seguso is given to the custody of brothers Gianluca, Pierpaolo and Gianandrea. The family remains the fundamental core around an activity sensitive to ethical principles and loyal to the fundamental guidelines with which the Seguso dynasty has distinguished itself for over six centuries. Bullicante: This is applied to very thick glass. It consists of overlaying several layers of air bubbles in a grid pattern within the vitreous wall. This mass is then pulled with the blowpipe which creates tiny depressions imprinted in a regular pattern on its surface. An elegant green brown Murano glass bowl utilizing the bullicante technique of controlled bubbles within the glass. It is unmarked.The piece has a white bubble edge. The edge has foiled glass inside the bubbles. The bowl is a deep green with white edges. This is a heavy shell shaped bowl. The vibrant colors and the unique sizes makes this highly decorative bowl very collectible.This item remain in a very good vintage condition some slight traces of use.
