This Persian opaque watercolor figurative painting, is done in the manner of much earlier Persian illuminated miniature paintings on paper, found in antique Persian, illustrated literary manuscripts. The image features a beautiful young woman, perhaps a Persian princess or an enchantress, standing & recoiling coquettishly away from a bearded older man wearing seated below her. Several exotic Birds of Paradise flutter in pairs above them, with the figures framed by two flowering trees. The beautiful young woman is seen wearing silk pantaloons, buttoned blouse, flowing neck scarf & waist wrap, holding a Persian oud string instrument to her side.
