Description: RARE Pair of Fostoria “Baroque” Topaz Yellow Gold Tint 3 Light Trindle Candlestick Circa 1936-1944 Your Purchase Helps Support A Disabled Army Veteran Injured In Iraq For your consideration is this beautiful pair of RARE trindle 3 light candle holders in the “Baroque” #2496 pattern, topaz yellow in color, by the popular and vintage Fostoria Glass Company. This pattern was made by Fostoria Glass in Moundsville, Virginia and the company made pieces from 1887 to 1986. The Baroque line had its beginning in the summer of 1936 in multiple colors and most pieces in the line were no longer produced after 1944. The pair has a vibrant and glossy yellow color that can go with many color schemes around the house. An example photo with white candles is included, they will look beautiful with candles of various heights. They measure 5 ½” tall, 8” wide from arm to arm, and have a round 5 ⅛” diameter base. They are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or discolorations. They are simply stunning. For almost a century — from 1887 to 1986 — the Fostoria Glass Company made some of America’s most popular and highly-collectible glassware.Initially, their factories produced pressed glass and lead crystal, but they later added colored glassware. Some of their work became widely known as carnival glass, milk glass, and Depression glass.The company closed its West Virginia plant in early 1986, largely because of declining sales to international competition.
