RARE Murano Vetri d’ Arte Seguso Glass Scavo Vintage Bottle / Vase Olive Green

Description: A Wonderful minimal piece that showcases the craftsmanship and special techniques used by the master craftsman glassblowers of Murano. Made using the Scavo technique this “frosted glass” was introduced in the 1950’s in order to obtain an archeological effect typical of objects found underground after a very long time.During blowing a mixture of several powders, by the glass artist are fused at a temperature of about 800°C on the surface of the glass vase. This aged rough look combined with the traditional form give the piece a Postmodern look, referencing the classical in a modernist contemporary way. Very minimal and space age! A Stunning piece, it catches the light beautifully with a diffuse glow, would look stunning with bright flowers, or on its own as a sculptural piece of art glass. Would complement any retro, vintage, minimal, modernist, postmodern, 70′;s, 80’s or contemporary styled interior. Measures 11 inches tall, 14 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep. Condition is good but it does have a few minimal scratches in the texture finish as shown in last 5 pictures. Also to note that the stopper does not fit tightly to the bottle it basically just sits on the bottles neck. Still, just an amazing piece of Murano art! This item ships UPS 5 day.
