This is one of the most sought after Thor items out there. These Hammers were made 10 years ago and were based off the original Thor movie. These were the only hammer replicas from that film that were Officially licensed by Marvel and ONLY 500……that’s right, 500 were ever made. These are not the cheap ones you see all over eBay and they aren’t made in China like all the others out there either……these were made in India and they look like they were hand made and finished. The one I have has been displayed but has been well taken care of. I remember being lucky enough to get one from my local comic shop that I was a customer of and good friends with for many years, if you didn’t know someone the chances of you getting one of these were slim to non. Whoever wins this will get it the way I got it……in its original box inside it’s original shipping box (please see the last 2 photos of both boxes)……I’ll even ship it inside another box if you are like me and want to keep everything original. I remember when I took out the hammer it had a covering over it and was a little greasy, probably to keep the metal in good shape but I don’t believe it was meant to be kept on it because it would probably destroy the finish so if anyone did keep it in the box and never opened it I don’t think those would be in great shape right now 10 years later. The replica is definitely a conversation piece and any TRUE fan needs this in their collection. The only reason why I am selling it is because I was recently let go from my job that I was at for over 9 years and the bills don’t pay themselves so sadly I must part with it. Since these hammers were made with aged steel you may see some imperfections here and there but I have to say the one I have looks awesome. I have seen others on eBay and some of them look horrible, it’s not the case with this one. Also, if you no see these on eBay (which is very rare) they are either missing the original box and/or the Certificate Of Authenticity and you rarely see the outer Sideshow shipping box.
