Description: This exquisite antique bunkhouse shaving mirror is a rare find for any collector. The intricate carving and use of cow horn make this piece truly unique. Crafted in the United States around 1900, this handmade item has stood the test of time and still retains its original beauty. Perfect for any vanity or shaving collection, this mirror is sure to impress. The mirror features a wonderful patina and is solid, and ready to hang. On either side of the square mirror are small wooden "pockets", each features a hand carved acorn embellishment. The cow or bull horns are a wonderful warm brown and black. They may have had metal tips at one point, which are long gone. The horns were likely originally wrapped in leather at the center, and that has been removed, as shown. Some tacks may not be the original, as the patina and style is slightly different. There is a nice sized shelf above the horns, which projects approximately 5 1/4" and is about 13" wide. The overall size of the handing mirror is 22" in height, 19" wide (tip of horn to tip of horn) and it projects 12" from the wall. Please ask all questions prior to purchase, and view the photos carefully. Buyer to pay $35 domestic economy shipping, which will include shipping insurance.
