This listing is for a rare, and possibly one of a kind, Stan Lee (d.2018) and Jack Kirby (d.1994) dual signed original Marvel Masterworks X-Men (reprinting issues 1-10) hardcover book from 1987. The pictured item is the actual signed book that you will receive. Both signatures were obtained and witnessed by us firsthand! This is the original first release, and not the later re-release, of this X-Men Marvel Masterworks book. This was the third in the Marvel Masterworks series (after #1 - The Amazing Spider-man and #2 - Fantastic Four), but it is the first of the X-Men Marvel Masterworks books. The dust jacket is in a protective cover, and displays very light wear. The Jack "King" Kirby signature was obtained in June, 1989 at the Los Angeles Comic Book Convention held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, while the Stan "The Man" Lee signature was obtained in July, 2014 at the Hollywood Show held at the Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. There are very few true authentic Jack Kirby signed items available in the first place, and here his rare signature is paired up with Stan Lee, who together with Kirby, were responsible for ushering in the Age of Marvel superheroes.
