It was actually published by the Fairchild company itself, and though no usual title page/data is included, the book mentions the history from 1920-1970, so I'm guessing it was actually put out in 1970. Likely as an edition for employees, customers, prospective customers, etc.Includes TONS of great photos and a very in-depth, comprehensive overview of the Fairchild company and its aircraft from its earliest conception. The book basically ends at the C-119 and has a short look at the company's prospects into 1970 - so this pre-dates the developement and build of the famous A-10 Warthog, which began development at the Germantown MD engineering facility and was actually built in Hagerstown, MD beginning in 1971 with first flights in 1972.A really interesting and RARE look at the Fairchild Aircraft company; which is now defunct (sold and the assets eventually becoming the M7 Aerospace company) Winning bidder to pay $4.95 shipping & handling.
