Rare Historic Photo WASHINGTON DC 1920s F STREET 14th 15th Willard Hotel SCHUTZ

Description: This is one of many great vintage & antique items I'm currently listing from various estates. Please take a look at my other merchandise at your leisure. You are bidding on: Rare Photo F Street Shopping District Between 15th & 14th Streets Washington D.C. Photo by Schutz ~ c1926-1927 ~ This historic 8 x 10 photo was created by the studio of Washington D.C. photographer Fred Schutz. This is one of a number of photographs I'm listing that were taken in the 1920s in Downtown Washington D.C. east of the White House lawn and west of the National Portrait Gallery in the shopping district known as Penn Quarter. This was the neighborhood where many famous photographers kept their studios including Bachrach and Schutz. Please look for the other concurrent auctions. This image shows the south side of F Street between 15th and 14th Streets. A cover sheet was attached listing some of the contemporary businesses as recorded by Schutz. The Willard Hotel is seen at the far end. The building closest is the Washington Hotel and still exists. The two narrow buildings in between the two hotels, including the Kellogg Building, were torn down and I think an extension to the Willard Hotel was put in their place. Photo Measures Approx 8 x 10 Inches. In Good Condition. Please Examine Scans. Mounted on Linen. Please see photos for further details Thanks for Looking and Good Luck BiddingSW4JC
