Description: Rare Historic BEETHOVEN'S SONATAS Rebound Presumed 1859 First American Edition I've done as much research as I can online, and it appears to me that these two (re-bound) books are the earliest collected editions of Beethoven's piano sonatas published in the United States. These editions are extraordinarily rare. Re-bound professionally in 1970 by Hickman Bindery of Indiana. Oliver Ditson, Boston, 1859(?) Each book measures about 10" x 12 1/4". In good condition with some edge, corner, and surface wear to the boards and spine. Tight binding. Sturdy hinges. Supple white pages. No discernible writing or stickers. As you can observe from the photos, some bleed through of print. Please ask if you have any questions. LOWER PRICE!
