Rare Green 1960s Tin Horikawa Space Caspsule NASA battery operated Japan

Description: Hi everyone we just reopened our vintage toy shop in auburn Sydney Australia called toy shack we buy and sell old toys we open every Saturday from 11am till 5pm and every other day by appointment call 0407100073 for appointment address is shop 1/4 auburn rd auburn. Toy Description I believe these capsules were made in 3 or 4 color variations and this green one is one of the hardest variation to find. This is not the common green smaller version capsule with the word NASA divides the 2 words Space & Capsule in the middle this is the one where the word NASA is in front of the word space .Made by SH Horikawa in the mid sixties, out of tin and plastic parts. A very nice and large rare high end toy .this green New Space Capsule is a rare and hard to find variation . It action it hoovers around with mystery bump and go action, opening hatches, light and space sound.This one works fine the man comes up from inside and the doors open but for the man to come up at his highest point you need to push the right door bit more wide open and the man elevates up higher . The same door that you help open when it’s closed it’s always a little more open then the opposite door is fully closed you can see that in the photos it’s nothing really to worry about it’s common in these Space Capsule. The condition is very good condition with some minor play wear all litho looks amazing strong vibrant colours all over no breaks or cracks on any of the plastic parts . Works fine you have to open up the right door wide open for the man inside to come up at his highest point . Ultra clean battery compartment, only light playwear although i think the toy was never really been played with . One of the small hinges on the battery compartment is gone bit silver just adding this in description for fussy collectors. Hard to find in this color Measures 24.5 Long and 14.5 cm in height I rate this space capsule 8 out of 10 Overall in great condition and would be a beautiful piece to display Please don’t hesitate to contact me via email or mobile for any inquiries.
