Description: Rare circa 1880 mounted albumen photo of a gathering of Egyptians and camels by the Sphinx and Pyramid in Egypt, by 19th-century Armenian photographer Gabriel Lekegian, active in both Cairo and Constantinople in the late 19th century. Albumen measures 10.75" by 8.5" and is mounted on a thick board, total dimensions 16" by 13". Photo with excellent tonality and clarity, though with some dustiness.
