Description: For your consideration, a rare Fox Sterling portable typewriter. They only made about 1,000ish of these machines, introduced in 1920 right before the Fox typewriter company went bankrupt in 1921. As is usual with Fox portables, these have not aged well - one wonders if it's simply due to not having the company around to do a refurbishment, as many other brands received over their lives. The nickel plating is in poor shape, but the paint is actually in pretty decent shape. The machine needs a thorough going-through before it can be a successful typer again, so is more for collectors in it's present shape. Sold as-is. Ships only to the United States and Canada.
