Description: This is a really cool, early example of a stoneware ugly face jug by the Tom Phelps studio. Mr Phelps opened his pottery studio in 1990 and ran it until his death in 2015. This jug was made in 1993 and is signed on the bottom. It is a desirable large sized jug with a handle. You have to love the eyes and teeth! Available jugs seem too hard to come by, but there are quite a few coffee mugs available. No noticed flaws, but please see all photos to judge condition for yourself and ask if you have any questions or need additional pictures. It is 6.25" tall at the peak of the handle and 8" long from the snout to the back of the head. This fellow weighs over 4 pounds.
