Description: Royal Doulton of Lambeth Stoneware 'Standing Toby' JugRare Red Button Colorwayc.1924-1929Height 8.5"Modeler: Harry Simeon *In Beautiful condition. No chips or cracks. Standing Toby stoneware toby jug with brown waistcoat and red shirt and buttons, modeled by Harry Simeon and produced by Royal Doulton of Lambeth, England, between 1924 and 1929. The Standing Toby is a variation of the Ordinary Toby. Instead of being seated, this toper stands upright, still clasping his beloved mug of stingo ale in one hand and a beaker in the other. Many variations of the stoneware Standing Toby exist. He can be found with a smiling or somber face; dressed usually in a blue jacket and orange, brown or green waistcoat, but occasionally other colors; finished in a light or dark glaze; and with or without a silver rim. We offer combined shipping discounts on multiple purchases. The jug will be securely wrapped and packed, and a full guarantee is given on all sales. *British Collectibles is owned and operated by The American Toby Jug Museum Curator Kevin Pearson of Kevin Francis Ceramics.
