Hard to find hand-painted faience plates designed by Antoine Albert Richard (1845-1921) manufactured between 1876-1886. Both plates are decorated with a beautiful brown rim enhanced with groups of 3 gold and brown petals. The plates show various whimsical scenes of children picking fruit with their mothers. Both measure 10 in. These plates are in a rare, almost perfect condition. No staining or cracks or chips. Some variances due to hand painting. Excellent antique condition.
