No date printed but circa 1920s.Booklet features items a Endeavor Officer could order items such as literature or jewelry from in order to carry out the mission of the Christian Endeavor. The first Christian Endeavor Society was formed on February 2, 1881, in Portland, Maine, under the direction of Francis E. Clark. While serving as pastor of the Williston Congregational Church in Portland, Maine, he organized the first Young People's Society of Christian Endeavor. He was a lifelong leader in this movement.Occasional mass-meetings of the union two or three times a year was required of every union. These meetings were open to the public and featured stimulating addresses, inspiring singing, and helpful discussion with a free parliament from the floor and were part of the work of the union in order to grow the Christian Endeavor movement.Very good condition. Light toning and a few areas of edge wear. Great addition to any fraternal order/secret society collection!I have not cleaned this item aside from a light dust off. Light soiling, dust, old age toning, dents, paint loss could be present along with other minor wear consistent with age.
