Ghita Hardimon was born in 1934 in Evanston, Illinois, and died in Chicago, Illinois in 1997. Ghita Hardimon specialized in colorful and highly textured viscosity prints. She graduated from the Chicago Art Institute of Chicago in 1959 with a bachelor of fine arts degree. She graduated from Northeastern University with a Masters of fine arts degree in 1972. Shr gave many lectures on art and was a teacher at Elmhurst College at the time of her death. She taught in Hyde Park High School and Highland Park High School for many years. She also taught at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Indiana. He works now have been exhibited in Japan, Saudi Arabia, Germany, England, France and the United States. Her Prints are in most Major Museum’s and Corporate Collections. Her Prints do not come up for sale to often.
