Description: An extremely Rare Antique Boxed Hardwood Carving of a Chinese Lady seen holding a Bird in one handand a Basket in the other. She is standing next to a Chinese Table upon which is a Cup and Tray andbeneath her feet are two large Rats. Beautifully carved from one piece of hardwood in the finest detail and an important piece with its originalmade to measure, fitted wooden lockable box. The box has lost its Lid and key over time but the figurestill fits the box perfectly! The carving is in good condition for age with one arm that had been re-attached and also repaired damage at the base where one Rat has become detached and repaired using glue to re-attach (please see photographs for condition).Some sunlight fading to the figure front, gained over time where it had been displayed in the box without the lid.
