The front page includes: "The War News" "Absenteeism In the Army--A Curious Disclosure" "How Our Prisoners Are Treated By the Yankees--The Horrours of Camp Douglas" "A Contrast" and more. The back page has a lengthy editorial--always interesting reading in this title. It begins: "Butler, in command of all the Confederate prisoners, will be, in Yankee opinion, eminently the 'right man in the right place'. Brutality & cruelty have been displayed in ample measure..." with much more. The editor then goes on to discuss other topics of the war, providing some interesting reading.
