Description: Rare Authentic South Texas Obsidian Bonham Point, Arrowhead, Projectile, Dart Point South Texas Prehistoric Native American Artifact, Nueces River Headwaters, Late Prehistoric (800-1600 AD), Medieval Warm to the Little Ice age Glacial Period, Excellent Condition, and used with the Bow and Arrow weapon system for hunting and defense. Bonham and Alba points are alike, the Bonham is usually a narrower blade with the primary difference being a narrower parallel stem. The Obsidian used for this Point is most likely from Malad Idaho. Mexican Obsidian (Volcanic Glass) was important trade for Paleo Indians in South Texas prior to 1100 AD and after this time period, Malad Idaho obsidian became the primary source, Obsidian artifacts can be considered ceremonial and used for a Ceremonial Grave Offerings.
