Rare Antique White Box Covered Sugar with lid and with the double masked faces on the side as handles with shields behind them! This is a very sturdy and thick piece! Would make for cool accent home decor piece, candy dish, a stash jar or spooky season decor - the faces do give off a haunted vibe. This boxed style sugar was common in the early 1900s by Homer Laughlin and other potters of the time - this one is unmarked but similar to HLC style pieces. This piece could also be used for for mustard, marmalade, sugar, jam, display piece, antique home decor, a stash jar or for the whitewear ironstone collector! No cracks. Lid has no chips or cracks. Some under the glaze crazing, common with antique pottery. The base has one chip on the inside of the rim - can only see if lid is off. White glaze is shiny and bright overall. Other factory production imperfections possible such as sand bumps, glaze pops, glaze misses - all normal factory production.
