Description: A wonderful piece dated by the number of stars (33), it is hand embroidered with silk threads and couched metallic threads. The eye is glass, slightly cracked. The eagle is holding a ribbon that says “E Pluribus Unum”. The colors are very vivid. The condition is remarkable for its age. It does have a few weaknesses as you can see in the photographs. There is some fraying in the threads. Two of the gold spears that stick out from it are weak and one is broken (but intact and can be repaired). They all need some reinforcement. 16” wide x 17” tall
