Description: I was told by several antique violin dealers that this violin is a very well made violin. It comes in a Jaeger hard violin case with the outer skin also included. Case worth $700 alone. This rare 7/8 size violin was owned and played by a member of a symphony for many years. It has a seam gap in the side near the top. Stainer label inside. Has a 1600 number at the end but not sure exactly what the number says. Has a 1 piece back. I have never owned a violin that has so much sound coming from it. Just plucking the one string on it, it has so much sound and volume coming from it. It is very old so will need some sort of repair, at least the gap on the side which isn't an expensive repair. Violin features highly carved archtop and back. The back is 13.5 inches long Sold as shown. See picture for overall condition. I think this violin could be set up with new strings and would sound absolutely amazing in my opinion.
