Now for the Good Part---I am Pleased to offer this Authentic Original Antique Glass Pre-Prohibition Whiskey Bottle. This is NOT a Repro and comes from a Long-Time Collection. This is an Early Variant of the Mount Vernon Whiskey. It has HANNIS on it and NOT the "Cook & Bernheimer" version. It has a Great Unusual Form for a Whiskey Bottle and looks like a Lady's Leg Mallet. It is Square with Bulbed Neck. It is Squatty for a Fifth and stands about 8.5 inches tall. It has a Double Collar Lip and is Blown in Mold. It is from a Very Crude Mold with Lines and Whittle which caused some of the embossing to be weaker. It is Embossed: MOUNT VERNON---PURE RYE---WHISKEY on one side and on other side reads: HANNIS DISTLG. CO.---FULL FIVE---RE-USE OF BOTTLE---PROHIBITED. The bottom reads: PATENTED MAR 25 1890. No chips, No cracks and No repairs. It has Nice Shine. It has Never been Tumbled or Polished in any way. You will be Very Pleased!
