Description: Extremely rare Antique J & L LOBMEYR full glassware set of mouth-blown Austrian Crystal for 13. 56 gorgeous crystal pieces in total dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880. Very rare to find a complete antique Lobmeyr set this large! The color of the glasses is Lobmeyr’s stunning “Patrician Gold Lustre”. It is so fine and luminescent that the pieces actually glow. She was from a very prominent family in St Louis and married to George Silas Drake, a descendent of King Edward I. I will provide a brief history of them & the history/provenance of the set to the purchaser. There is a book about her and her daughter Bertha Warburton Drake called “Yours Always” written by my cousin Henry Scott. It is available for purchase online through Amazon & Barnes & Noble.
