Description: Offering a rare antique velvet long cape or cloak with hood. Created circa 1920-30’s. This stunning cloak or coat was constructed of luxurious black velvet and is equipped with sleeves and a hood. The cloak is opera length, fully lined with an antique white satiny fabric. A single velvet covered button at the top, it still retains it’s original interior ties. No doubt this wonderful garment would have been worn on special occasions. Measuring on flat surface: Length 55 1/2” Shoulder to Hem, 15” Across Shoulder, 21” Waist, 34” Hem, 22” Sleeve Length, 15” Shoulder to Top of Hood. The condition is excellent. Only a light half dollar size stain to the interior lining. I was unable to find any damage to the velvet but, if I have overlooked anything it would be very minor. This antique cloak presents very well. I have not cleaned or ironed this wonderful cloak. Please see photos.
