Found at consignment store and picked it up because hand cut spot for second, hidden lock underneath exterior padlock, (mechanism is missing) Christian Crosses on interior hidden Hinges, and secret false bottom candle box on interior suggested that this may have been used for smuggling, or perhaps by individuals keeping their Christianity secret. Some studs missing and some have corrosion from time. Comps found between $2800-$7250 on similar items.
