Description: RARE 1930/40 VTG STERLING PEGASUS CORO BOOK PIECE FAUX PEARL RHINESTONE NECKLACE Click images to enlarge Description Welcome to my auction - Up for your consideration is this elegant vintage book piece necklace by Coro. The choker style necklace features links of textured silver swirls and leaves with sparkling crystal rhinestone flowers and a faux baroque pearl at the the center of each link. The chain is textured, elongated links with an adjustable hook style clasp. It has the Pegasus Coro in script, no copyright mark as shown. The Pegasus mark has been used since the 1930's and without the copyright mark indicates pre 1955. This Coro set is pictured on page 32 of 'Collecting Costume Jewelry 101' by Julia C. Carroll. Although I could not find a sterling mark I am certain this is sterling silver with a small polished area on the back shown in last photo. CONDITION - The necklace is in very fine, vintage, pre-owned condition! Some normal age/use wear, no stones missing dead or dull - as with all of my estate jewelry, I have not cleaned or polished it other than small section on the back as previously stated.
