The coin depicts the bust of King Fuad or Fouad the first (who ruled Egypt during the British occupation) facing right. He is wearing a fez and has the words Fouad the first King of Egypt along the edge on the obverse. The reverse has the words "Al Mamlkah Al Mesryah" (Kingdom of Egypt) in the center in beautiful calligraphy surrounded by the denomination and the date in years AD (1923) and AH (1341). This coin is the no-mark variety, which is very rare with low mintage of only 800,000. Please carefully review scan as it is part and parcel of our description. Date: 1923. Mint: Egypt with mintage of 800,000. Size and weight: This is a 5 piastres, which is approximately 26 mm in diameter and weighs 6.7 gm of 83.3% silver. The coin has a reeded rim. I would grade this coin as a nice extremely fine with well preserved details and having wear throughout and is nicely toned. All its details are preserved, readable, and the coin is problem free. The coin has soiling and some stains in the form of dark spots especially on the obverse. The coin is better than the scan shows.
