Description: This rare 1920s Swiss “Ophir" hinged litho Art Deco 20 cigarette tin, measuring 3 1/8” x 5 1/2” x 3/4”, is in good condition with no rust or dents and some minor age related paint scratches and chips. The hinge is in excellent condition. This highly attractive green, black and gold tin was designed by the french artist Charles Loupot. It features a detailed image of a bearded man wearing a turban, smoking a cigarette. The cigarettes were manufactured by Philippossiasn & Co. Fabrique de Cigarettes Egyptiennes, Bern Switzerland.
