Description: Possibly one if not the finest Cane/Parasol Vinaigrette/Snuff box handles you will ever come across in your life. I forget to say that this is also full of pearls. This solid silver gold gilt handle is also a Snuff Box or Vinaigrette boxes. I am really not sure and my fellow appraisars are also stumped as the the top area that has a lid or cap that opens to reveal an area for Snuff or Smelling salts. Packed with what must be a hubdred or more rubies concentrically placed within the peals and there is NO loss of any pf the pieces. The ryder from this maginicent estate told how this was purchased at Sothebys in England many years ago. This is all the info I have but the piece is simply stunning. Messuring just shy of 4" long x 3/4 in dismeter and weighing 33 grams. The work must have taken a long time to accomplish. Appraised very high but as all my treasures I price them much lower than expected. The top does shut nicely and stays closed. This is a rare and exquisite Victorian era Sterling Silver Vinaigrette Box with a beautiful gold gilt and ruby embellishment. The box is adorned with intricate details and has a unique design that is sure to impress any collector of antique silver. It was crafted by Thomas Johnson I in London, England in the year 1875 and weighs 3.2 troy ounces or 100.2g. The box can be used to store small items and is perfect for any collector of antique silver. It is a one-of-a-kind piece that is sure to be a great addition to any collection.
