Description: Ranger Rick's Nature Magazine by National Wildlife Federation - Nov 1972 Funky Christmas / Everyday Funky These books etc. come from my father-in-law's estate. We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim. This book was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop. This book is in ACCEPTABLE condition. The spine is unbroken. There is no dust jacket. Actual front and back boards have some damage. No marks or highlighting in text. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. Cover lies flat. All color photographs. Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition. This sad little magazine needs a new home. While the entire thing is intact and readable, it has scuffs, nick and notches. The innermost pages (24-25) are no longer stapled in, but are there. Please help us find a new home for it. Inside, there are many articles about: A Mob of Hoppers - On KangaroosThe Aboriginals - who live in the barren, arid, central Australia.Bark Painting - using tree barks. A Wandering Continent - on Intercontinental Drift and how Australia was once part of the Africa, etc.Only in Australia - Marsupials! Platypus and Echidna - Lay eggs and nurse their young! Ranger Rick and His Friends - Adventure 57 Makes a New Friend Three Bird Acts - Handsome Prancer (bowerbird), the Great Mimic (lyrebird), and Kooky Comic (kookaburra). Gum Trees - The Eucalyptus Who-o-o Knows? - Unscramble the Down Under Clues and a Austrailan quiz for kids. (Not done). Ollie Otters's Coin Puzzle - Connect the Dots (Done). Trouble Down Under - Endangered Animals, Endangered plants, Soil Erosion, New Laws The Great Barrier Reef - Beautiful pictures. General story on the marine life and conditions for keeping the reef alive. Fast forward and the coral is bleaching and dying all over the world. Sadness. Please NOTE: Old books are heavy books. Safe shipping may move them into the next postal category. Sorry! Please NOTE: We live in Michigan and it is winter. We have the Lake Effect almost every day – massive cloud cover. We are doing the best we can with interior lighting for the pictures. Also, please NOTE: Almost every book has a smudge somewhere. We mention it if we see it, but please assume we missed something. PLEASE NOTE: Because eBay is composed of soulless, bloodsucking monsters, and because it is forcing us to use an ISBN number for a book that DOES NOT have an ISBN number, and even when it DOES have an ISBN, still won’t let us use it, so we use one of a random book. Our book is pre-ISBN numbers. The Library of Congress number is not applicable. The LOC does not hyphenate when you put the number in to verify. Fake ISBN number is 9781014236289. Correct ISBN number is non-existent. We put in whichever one the system will take. Sorry! Note: We are running out of estate books and will be slowly changing over to their other possessions – some serious, some MCM, some just funky, or kitschy. Others are Depression era. Some will be brand new items, still in their packaging, and others will be more mainstream books (from one of the Grandma’s) or some of our personal books or collectables, as we are not leaving this mess to our kids. We hope you have fun and stay with us. Shipping – All books are shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday on the first day possible after payment is received around 8 to 9 AM. They are shipped by Media Mail in heavy brown paper, similar to a grocery paper bag. All wrapping and shipping materials are recycled from the cardboard to bubble wrap to 50 year old envelopes. Our packages are ugly, but are very carefully wrapped to arrive safely. We always refund shipping credit if you buy multiple items. Free local pick up. We refund your shipping charges! Please help us recycle these lovingly cared for curios in an environmentally friendly manner. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
