Page, Keen & Page was a British firm of silversmiths, jewelers, and watchmakers based in Plymouth, England. The company was active from the late 19th century into the 20th century. It was founded by James Andrew Page in the mid-19th century, with the partnership forming between Page and Henry Keen in 1871. The company became well-known for producing a range of fine silver and pewter items, including domestic wares, jewelry, and watches. This is an antique and has marks and blemishes, included a small dent. Please see photos where we pointed this out. Mug is marked on bottom with maker and “495”… This refers to the purity level of a silver alloy. It indicates that the item is made of 49.5% silver and the remaining 50.5% consists of other metals, often copper or other materials, to improve durability and hardness. This would have been common for this type of mug in the 1920’s.
