Description: Description Radio France Live Recordings SACD 4 title (6 discs) Altus JAPAN Product introduction A limited edition set of four INA treasure SACD titles, including Schuricht's Beethoven, Bernstein's Shostakovich, and Matacic's Bruckner! A limited edition set of four INA (French National Audiovisual Institute) SACD titles released by ALTUS, housed in a craft-style three-sided case in the same packaging as the individual sales. [ALTSA 325] (Long-duration SACD single layer 2-disc set) A long-duration SACD 2-disc set using INA (French National Audiovisual Institute) sound sources by three famous conductors: Szell, Kempe, and Scherchen. Total recording time 283 minutes. Szell's performance is an eye-opener with its polished ensemble and brisk tempo, Kempe's programming, which grows larger and larger, explodes in "Fantasia", Bach's unfinished last fugue, which he arranged for orchestra himself, and Mahler's superb (stereo recording!), which is a mix of boos and bravos, are all performances worth paying attention to. [ALTSA 364] (2-disc SACD hybrid set) A collection of Beethoven's symphonies from Schuricht's stereo live recordings at INA has been made into a SACD hybrid. The bright, clear tone is very powerful. In the Ninth Symphony, the sound is incredible in the parts where the music heats up with high tension, such as the development section of the first movement and the instrumental fugato of the fourth movement to the famous chorus. This great performance, which proceeds with a clear tempo but sometimes delivers an unusually sharp performance, is truly amazing. [ALTSA 379] (SACD single layer) The first SACD of two of Matacic's great Bruckner France live performances left at INA! Enjoy the unique world created by the blend of the French National Orchestra's sound and Matacic's personality. "When it comes to Matacic's Bruckner No. 9, this is the first thing you should listen to. The highlight is the Adagio. It is rare to find a performance that is as strict, dignified, and full of prayer." - From Naoya Hirabayashi's commentary [ALTSA 508] (SACD single layer) The SACD version of the CD that was released after the INA sound source was licensed and released. This is a great program that condenses Bernstein's hottest parts, Schumann's No. 2 and Shostakovich's No. 5, and it is recorded in stereo. The performance maintains the French tone, but is very heated and full of spirit, and the music unfolds with a strong driving feeling that will make you sweat. A great performance that was sure to elicit thunderous applause from the audience!Work information Conductors: George Szell, Rudolf Kempe, Hermann Scherchen, Karl Schuricht, Lovro von Matacic, Leonard Bernstein, etc. Orchestra: Orchestre National de FranceContents Number of discs | 6 Track Listing ALTSA325 (2 SACD Single Layer) Disc 1 1.
