Description: Offered is the vintage book "Rabun County Georgia and Its People, Vol. 1", published by the Rabun County Heritage Book Committee. No specific author is listed. This large book about the history of the county in Georgia's northeast corner has a 1992 copyright date and appears to be a first edition. There are hundreds of black and white photos and illustrations of the people and places of the county, both past and present (at the time of publication). This is a rare, possibly unique find; at the time of original listing I could not find any other copies for sale on eBay or anywhere else. The book is approx. 12 1/4" x 9 1/4" and contains 399 pages, including the index. It is in excellent, almost like-new condition. The hard dark green cloth cover has no wear, the gold words on the spine and front still shiny. The original price label from the Dillard House is still on the front. There is no cracking inside either the front or back cover. The endpapers are clean. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding and generally clean. I see no writing in the book. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
