The Quan Yin (Kwan Yin or sometimes Guanyin) was a female Buddhist Bodhisattva or aspect of Buddhahood representing Universal Compassion. In practice she was in effect considered a Goddess in China. VARNISH IS WORN OFF IN A FEW PLACES, ESPECIALLY ON THE TOP OF THE HEAD (SEE PIC), O/W FULLY INTACT AND NICE ANTIQUE CONDITION
