Released in 1971, with ample power and unique "moving bar" tuning dial, the rare SA-6200 is a real find for the audiophile collector!This gorgeous receiver has impressive styling with fader style Volume, Balance, Bass & Treble controls, and that unique "Moving bar" tuning dial that grows the further up the dial you go, and complemented with a Stereo indicator lamp and Tuning meter! It also has an Input selector, buttons for Speakers, and switches for Low & High Filters, Stereo/Mono, FM Muting, Tape Monitor and a Loudness switch that contours the sound dynamics perfectly for low level listening. It also has, direct rear-panel access to Pre-Out & Main In so you can choose to add any number of components to upgrade your system, from a Graphic Equalizer to electronic crossovers for multi-amplification networks!Built well before Technics and Panasonic joined forces, this model still shows signs of the blossoming partnership with several Technics branded parts inside! Speaking of inside, we were so impressed with the high build quality of these vintage Panasonic's we have included a "nudie" shot so you can judge for yourself. In addition to a huge transformer and powerful output transistors with a hefty heatsink, you'll notice both tuner boards are encased in metal covers for reduced interference.The service manual gives this a "Music Power" output of 150W @ 4Ω, we prefer the more accurate "RMS Power" rating of 76 Watts, 38 W/Ch into 8Ω, or 100 Watts, 50 W/Ch into 4Ω through full spectrum with both channels driven. Remember, these are what audiophiles call "Vintage Watts," from an era where, unlike today, it was a sin to manipulate or elaborate the power ratings!The rear panel offers two speaker zones, an Aux Input, a Tape Loop with the PLAY/REC DIN jack found in the higher-end offerings of the era, Pre Out/Main In jacks with jumpers, and a stereo Phono Input along with a grounding post for your turntable! It also has multiple antenna terminals, an attached AM antenna, user-access to the protection fuses and two AC outlets, switched & unswitched. The SA-6200 weighs in at just under 31 lbs and measures 14-7/8" x 5-1/2" x 16-7/8" wide! By "The Best, Ltd." policy this unit will be double-boxed for secure shipment. Paid items can be picked up in the Denver Metro area at no charge. Condition:This beautiful receiver is in "Very Good" condition with minor signs of use and nice, bright dial! Aside from a few light scuffs to the veneer, the only thing worth mentioning are just a few small front panel scratches, most too faint to make out well in the pics. All original knobs are present & complete, as are the feet and attached AM Antenna & AC cord. As is common with this model several of the switch caps had gone missing, so we found the pictured rubber pads that fit perfectly! The manual has gone missing and due to it's rarity we were only able to find the Service Manual online. But no worries, if you have any questions or concerns just use our Free Support and we'll be glad to help! Please do inspect all the pictures thoroughly for actual condition.Service:On inspection, this unit was working just some scratchy controls and a dim dial, so as with all vintage receivers it went to our tech for servicing. Only a few of the lamps were out, but as the rest were most likely going to fail soon all the dial lamps were replaced with long-life LED's! We installed Cool Blue LED's in the dial which shine with maximum brightness, then a Green LED was chosen for the meter that matches the unique dial beautifully. But if you prefer either Blue or the original Warm White meter color just let us know BEFORE buying or sending an offer and we will switch it out for you free of charge! We are in a remote area so we did need to use the included antenna to pull in all our local FM stations with the included wire antenna, activating the tuning meter and lighting the Stereo lamp.
