Excessive heat-soak increases the risk of detonation and causes major power-loss due to high charge air and cylinder temperatures. These issues become even more prevalent with spirited driving and/or increased power outputs. The PRL Motorsports intercooler upgrade decreases charge air temperatures while increasing potential airflow with its dense 26.5 x 3.5 x 7.25" 550+ horsepower rated bar-and-plate core. Our intercooler core which increases surface area by 85% and internal flow by 83% to allow optimal cooling and airflow. Billet machined aluminum end tanks maximize efficiency while looking as smooth as they flow! This intercooler utilizes factory mounting spots with our billet machined end tanks as well as all factory air ducts/shrouds. To maintain consistency with most of our PRL product line, no cutting, fitting or trimming is required. Kits will come with all hardware needed for a seamless install. Kit Includes:(1) Intercooler Assembly(1) Cardboard Stencil w/ “PRL” Logo(2) Buna O-Ring Performance Gains: Increased turbocharger spool3 horsepower & 11 ft/lb torque gains by simply bolting onMajor mid-range power gains50+ F degree drop in post charge air temperature at peakAverage of 32 F degree drop in post charge air temperatureIncreased efficiency & consistency in power deliveryIncreased engine safety Intercooler to Charge Pipe Bolt(s) Torque Spec:18 ft/lb If you plan to utilize the provided stencil to represent PRL on your intercooler: -Clean and make sure your intercooler is dry. -Place the cardboard stencil onto the front of the intercooler (Make sure the intercooler is not upside down, the PRL logo is on the driver's side end tank). -It is recommended to tape down the stencil to have a sharp logo and to avoid moving. -Mask off or cover the end tanks to avoid overspray. -Apply a high temp engine enamel style spray paint (we recommend Duplicolor DE1635 Ford SemiGloss Black, any color can be used). -Multiple coats may be needed to have full coverage, this varies per color. -Allow to dry 30-60 minutes before installing the intercooler. -If any mistakes are made such as runs/overspray acetone or paint thinner can be used to remove any unwanted paint or to remove the stencil entirely, though this will take some time. -Keep the stencil handy and in a safe spot without bending if you would like to refresh your intercooler after years of road debris blasting it! (Stop blowing holes in my ship!)Return Claims We are dedicated to our customer’s 100% satisfaction. Returned product is subject to a 20% restocking charge and must be returned freight prepaid. Damaged Shipments All of our shipments are 100% insured. It is very important to inspect your product thoroughly before accepting and signing for your carton. Packaging that appears in good condition does not guarantee that there is no “hidden” damage. The only way to be certain is to fully unpack and examine the contents carefully before signing. Legally, by applying your signature, you are signing a document stating that you have inspected the item and it is in good condition. We have no recourse when the item is signed for, any later claim for un-noticed (“hidden/concealed”) damage must be filed by you with USPS, UPS or FedEx. Many times it is common practice by UPS or FedEx to leave packages on your doorstep if no one is available for signature. Again, please inspect the package by fully unpacking and examining the contents. If you notice damage to the product during your inspection, please contact us immediately. Claims must by file within 7 days after receipt. Defective Merchandise All item sold are strictly followed by the manufacture warranty guideline only. If you receive a defective part upon delivery and it’s not due to shipping damages, please contact us and we will file a warranty claim with manufacture to have the issue resolved.
