Tru-Color Paint is meant to be sprayed with an airbrush except for their Flat, brush-able colors. The spray-able paint is too thin for brush paintings. The Flat colors may be sprayed but must have at least 40% thinner added to it. The sprayable paints dry to a glossy finish which makes the paint ready for decals after drying. You will not need to apply a gloss finish to prepare the surface for decals. You will have a slick, smooth finish when done. If you recall the Accu-Paint brand of paint, Tru-Color Paint is a much more advanced formulation which many modelers prefer.
