Description: PRICE REDUCED 10% 12.14.23! DURACRAFT PK500 Single-Blade Trapper/Camping Knife: This knife has been made since the 1970s and has shared the success of its idol, the Buck Knife #110. (This knife is NOT a Buck Knife.) Made in Pakistan, probably by unskilled laborers, the early knives were a bit clunky---you needed TWO thumbs to unlock the lockback ear; handles were not pinned sturdily or simply cracked off, and the frame was sometimes made from steel instead of brass. (Think rust. This frame is brass.) But they usually held up, most likely because they were made robustly---they were heavy! Thick, dense materials were used and sometimes that is what kept them working; the design is simple so there is little to go wrong and even less chance for breakage. This knife operates well; not too hard to unlock the blade, original wood handles are intact and the blade has been sanded to subdue the scratches from use. Blade spine shows no beating with a hammer to split logs, and cutting edge has not been sharpened with a file. Looks just like new, except a little bit tired. Value to this knife is its good condition and its simple, robust construction. And a low price for a decent work knife. Mailing only to USA-48. Postage is usually between $5.00 and $6.26. Buyer pays $4.00, I will pay the rest. Please see my other knives and save postage. I am liquidating my entire collection; please keep me in your favorite sellers, watching for Old Bryan's Old Knives or the seller name below.
