Electrolytics over time change value due to leakage, electrical stress, heat exposure etc., and can be very annoying to troubleshoot especially when intermittent. There are 45 small electrolytics used in the President Grant. Values supplied in the kit will be equal to or exceed design values from Uniden. The kit is comprised of 45 capacitors: The capacitor kit shown in the photo is generic in nature as I have a wide variety of kits for Icom, Kenwood and Yaesu. Capacitors used in the kits are brand new Nichicon/Panasonic rated at 85 deg. C or higher.
