Description: You are looking at a very rare Heuer. This watch pre-dates the TAG Heuer merger. This is the black faced Heuer 980.026 men's 1000 professional watch. This watch is a true survivor. I am a watch collector who owns over 500 Tag Heuer watches. I currently have quite a few for sale. It was simply time to clean out the closet. This is a men's size TAG watch with a case size of about 38mm (41mm crown included). This is an early Heuer model with the thick case. The crystal is in perfect condition with no scratches. The back casing is in good condition with light wear scratches. The bracelet is a brand new stainless steel jubilee band that is made for this model. It is in unworn condition. The clasp and surrounding area is in perfect condition. The bezel is in excellent condition with fine scratches. The hands & hour markers are slightly darkened. I would rate this true survivor as a solid 9 out of 10 in condition. The head looks wonderful, compared to other 980.026 models you will find. The watch will fit up to an 8.5 inch wrist. I do not have extra links. The bezel turns and clicks in the counter clockwise direction, as it should. This model has a quartz movement and it is 200 meters water resistant. I always recommend having seals tested before wearing in water as a precaution, but I would avoid water with a watch of this age.
