Very well taken care of and from a personal collection of historical re-enacting uniforms and costumes. This is clearing out of some left over costume and re-enacting items from a recent TV Movie film shoot. This embroidered insignia is BRAND NEW - never used or sewn, so the edges are crisp and not falling apart. Allot of reproductions are thick and hard to work with - this item is not. SILVER 6-pointed Star as seen worn by Dragoons and other U.S. Army Officers pre-Civil War and during the Mexican War era. This type (in silver) is very hard to find. Very, very Nice Civil War Mounted Officer embroidered STAR (Smaller size) Shabraque style insignia used by Union and Confederate officer Horse Saddle Blankets. New and never used or worn - everything is clean and as you can see, these are not your run-of-the-mill re-enacting insignia. A great item for living history, films and re-enacting, and a steal at this price and great looking.
