BECAUSE THE 2006 MODELS OF TRX90's HAVE NEW FRONT FENDERS THAT ARE MUCH LOWER AND CLOSER TO THE FRAME, THIS KIT WILL NOT WORK ON 2006 & LATER MODELS UNLESS YOU WANT TO CUT HOLES IN THE FENDERS FOR THE TOPS OF THE SHOCKS TO STICK OUT. There just isn't room under the new fenders to fit the 300ex shocks for this kit. You can use the widening kit that uses the stock shocks and a-arms (listed in our eBay store). We recommend that you purchase our TRX90 to 300EX Dual A-arm Conversion Kit that is also listed in our eBay store. The dual a-arm kit will work with the newest TRX90's, with only a slight modification to the fender support brackets. This kit includes all of the front widening components to be able to use the stock a-arms that came with your TRX90 and move the pivot locations out 2-3/4 inches per side. The shock conversion kit to relocate the top shock mounts is also included to make this a complete package (all that is needed is the longer shocks to convert to a much improved suspension system). The kit will allow you to mount 250EX or 300EX shocks (stock or aftermarket) on your TRX90. You can also use stock or aftermarket shocks from a Yamaha Blaster and many other ATV’s with shocks between 9 and 14 inches in length with 3/8” diameter (10mm) mounting holes. If you have a Honda TRX90 quad and you are frustrated with its rear suspension travel, this kit includes the parts that will allow you to go from the stiff 9.5" stock rear shock, to a softer, adjustable 13" FRONT shock from a Honda 300ex (or many other shocks with a length between 9.5 and 13.5 inches). Owners of 300ex quads are always selling their stock shocks on ebay to upgrade to aftermarket shocks or upgrading to 300ex or even 400ex long travel front ends. This makes these shocks available to us at a fraction of the cost of aftermarket TRX90 rear shocks that are better than stock, but still limited in their travel to the original 9.5 inches. We have found that Harley Sportster shocks make a great fit for the front of youth and mini-quads. They are about 12 1/2" to 13 1/2" in length, with more shock travel, have greater mechanical adjustability than ATV shocks, and will provide better action when landing larger jumps. We have them in stock, and available in our eBay store for $100 extra. The bushings on the Harley shocks are 1/2" instead of 3/8" diameter. This can be fixed by going to your local hardware store and finding steel bushings that are 3/8" ID x 1/2" OD x 1 inch long. The rear portion of the kit allows you to use a 300ex FRONT shock that is 13 inches long and has four adjustments to soften or stiffen the spring. In addition to this adjustability, because of the shape of the parts in this kit, you can assemble them several different ways to adjust the ride height of your quad or to try different shocks that you might have access to. 300ex shocks have the same mounting "eye" on the top of the shock as the rear TRX shock, but the base is wider. This bracket allows you to mount to this wider shock base by bolting to the outside of the stock mounts on the axle carrier. The plates rotate down from the pressure of the shock and rest on the large tube on the axle carrier. This tube and bracket are very strong.
