Millions of them were sent during WW2, and they pop up in auction lots quite regularly. But ILLUSTRATED V-Mails are difficult to find. This is the MICROFIlMED INSERT, 4 1/4" x 5 1/4". In order to home in on a realistic price we can both live with, I use the "Make Offer" feature which eBay provides. I invite you to try this feature. I start an auction at what I guess is a reasonable price and give you the "Buy It Now" feature. If you think I've made a mistake and opened the lot too low, then you can pre-empt the bidding by using the BUY IT NOW feature....which is often in the range of 30% above my "starting price". ALL SMALL, "FLAT" SHIPMENTS - stamps, Cinderella Items, Postal Stationery, Postal History and First Dav Covers - will be shipped in a Calumet hard cardboard mailer. This mailer offers much greater protection than bubble wrap, and is only a little heavier and more costly to ship. Larger items will be shipped in corrugated mailers, tubes, or whatever is necessary.SHIPPING CHARGES are always reduced If you buy several lots. A FINAL WORD - ABOUT MY SCANS: What you get will be BETTER than what you see! Computer scans often show darker or lighter areas which aren't on the actual item, and the larger the object to be scanned, the more areas will be affected.
