Description: 20 Pippin's Golden Honey Pepper Seeds - open-pollinated grown without herbicides and pesticides. This is an open-pollinated, heirloom variety. The lore of this pepper is that it originated from folk artist and painter Horace Pippin in the Philadelphia area in the 1940s. These peppers start dark purple, then change to green, yellow and finally ripen to bright orange. The plant can be ornamental grown for the interesting peppers, peppers are edible, very mildly flavored and slightly sweet. These are prefect where some slight pepper flavor is wanted like with fish or soups, the bright orange color is a nice touch. Plants are grow to around 24 inches tall, staking or small cage is recommended. This is a sweet pepper, and is not spicy, similar to a bell pepper. Pods grow to 2-3 inches long.
