Interestingly, of all of these Piper Buecherei books that I have, only this book and the Picasso book specifically use the word "lithographs" for the reproductions, and these reflect quality. The color lithographs reflect those made by Chagall for the Arabian Nights. This includes the original twelve lithographs plus a 13th from Scheherezade (PHOTO 13), which is consistent with later (after 1948) printings of the series. Book is just under 7.5 inches tall and just under 5" wide. 48 pages which include a German language essay of 15 pages by Moldovan.THE BOOK HAS NO WRITING, NO STAMPS, NO LABELS, NO CREASES, NO TEARS AND BINDING IS TIGHT AND SQUARE.
