Description: Offered for sale is a pair of Pioneer PAX-30G 12" two way speakers. They were introduced in the early 60's with an MSRP of about $140/pair. Fuquin became Pioneer Electric in 1961 and they were marketed by Pioneer. When I first acquired these speakers they were in excellent condition but the cloth surrounds were shot. I installed new cloth surrounds. One of the cones had a paper scratch which I patched on both sides. The cone was not torn all the way through. Played them and they sounded wonderful. Great bass and nice clean highs. These can be installed in a 12" speaker cabinet without a midrange and tweeter. I did install them in a 12" Sansui cabinet and blocked off the midrange and tweeter cutout. They sounded incredible. They both have a three conductor wire in order to add an L-Pad. L-Pads are not included. They can be purchased for about $10 each. There is currently none of thes listed on eBay. According to the internet, a pair was sold shipped for $359 in 2022 and a pair was sold shipped for $400 in 2016.
