This unit was manufactured at the Hiratsuka factory in March 1974. The checkered pattern is lovely, reminiscent of Parker's iconic model "Shizzle." It is made of 18K WG (white gold, platinum) and the font width is the precious B (broad). The ink flow is smooth and silky, allowing you to draw thicker, more powerful lines that are characteristic of a fountain pen. The width of the pen is quite different from M (medium), so it is recommended for those who use different sizes. As for the condition, as you can see from the pictures there are hardly any scratches and the sterling silver shines beautifully. The compass mark on the cap top, which symbolizes the old custom design, is still in good condition. Overall it is in good condition for a 50 year old item. Writing with the cartridge has been confirmed. The pen feels a little sturdy, probably because of the large tip, but it is easy to hold. This will come in handy when you want to emphasize a crucial point when writing. After testing, it is disassembled, cleaned, dried and stored. This is a piece with a strong presence.
